Our Initiatives

Emberline Homes: Homestead to Home Ownership

The Emberline Initiative is the first Homestead to Home-ownership pipeline for survivors in the U.S.

We plan to develop 35 homes as safe, immediate housing for survivors.

• Residents contribute rent based on income, which accrues toward their future home down payment.

• Once they meet the FHA down payment threshold, they select a permanent lot and own their home.

• Credit counseling and financial education will be provided on-site.

• Partnerships with credit unions and local contractors ensure cost-effective, community-based solutions.

Legal Aid and Accountability Program

We will provide legal aid, advocacy, and expert witness support in high-conflict domestic violence divorce and custody cases.

• Certified legal observers and experts will attend proceedings to hold judges, guardians ad litem, attorneys, and evaluators accountable.

• Survivors will have access to legal representation, case review, and advocacy reports for appellate or oversight use.

• This program aims to expose systemic bias and protect survivors from judicial and procedural misconduct.

Legislative Reform Initiative

We will spearhead a campaign to:

• Classify Domestic Violence as an 85% crime, currently it is classified as 85% non-crime. Ensuring offenders serve the majority of their sentence.

• End the revolving-door justice system that retraumatizes victims.

• Provide policy recommendations and survivor testimony to strengthen DV response protocols at the state level.

Credit & Life Restoration Program

We will build national partnerships with major credit card, mortgage, and utility companies to:

• Offer credit rebuilding programs modeled after VA-style hardship relief.

• Provide negotiated forgiveness programs for survivors rebuilding post-abuse.

• Deliver individualized financial literacy courses that restore long-term stability and dignity.

Freedom & Justice Initiative

In collaboration with Still She Rises (Tulsa, OK), we will advocate for women wrongly imprisoned for self-defense in DV cases.

• Fund expert witnesses, case reviews, and appeals support.

• Establish oversight boards to ensure prosecutorial fairness and transparency.

Law Enforcement and DA Accountability Partnership

We seek to partner with law enforcement and the Oklahoma DV Fatality Review Board (Karen Cunningham, AG’s Office) to reduce police-related deaths in DV calls.

• Create a safe reporting channel for detectives and officers whose DV cases are ignored by district attorneys.

• Work with legal aid to press unfiled cases, closing the gap between reports and prosecution.

• Provide joint training and awareness workshops to enhance victim-centered policing.
